Oostkamp challenges residents to participate in the Kringkampioen 2026 competition, running from October 17th to 31st.

From October 17th to 31st, Flemish municipalities will compete for the title of Kringkampioen 2026. Oostkamp is also joining this challenge.
The task is simple: collect as many kilograms of reusable items per inhabitant as possible. One municipality per province will be named Kringkampioen. The municipality urges its residents to help them win.
Residents are encouraged to search their cupboards, garages, or attics at home for items that deserve a second life. These can be brought to the Kringwinkel. Large items can be collected for free.
Every kilogram counts, and the more residents participate, the greater the chance of winning the title. The competition is an initiative of Kringwinkel, which celebrates 25 years of reuse this year.
