The contractor will replace a section of the slates on the front of the Mortsel town hall. These works will not incur any additional costs for the city, as the contractor is carrying them out at their own expense. Residents of Mortsel will therefore not pay anything extra for the roof repairs.
Inconvenience for residents will be minimized as much as possible. The opening hours and accessibility of the town hall will remain unchanged. Brasserie Modern will also remain accessible, although terrace availability depends on the progress of the work and safety conditions.
Preparatory work, including the erection of scaffolding, will commence on Monday, October 12, followed by the actual roof repairs.
