On October 16, the fifth project call of the ZeeBONK program was launched, with a available funding of €650,000 for the local fishery and aquaculture community on the Belgian coast.

The ZeeBONK program, which supports projects focused on coastal heritage, tourism, culture, and knowledge building, is allocating €650,000 this year for new initiatives. Projects must be driven by the local community.
The submission procedure for this call is twofold. First, an idea must be sent to the ZeeBONK secretariat by December 17, 2026. Subsequently, the idea must be further developed with the coordinator and submitted by March 5, 2027, via the agency's e-counter.
More information on the conditions can be found on the ZeeBONK website. The program is financed by the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFF), the Financing Instrument for the Flemish Fisheries and Aquaculture Sector (FIVA), and the province of West-Vlaanderen.
