Starting Monday, October 19th, the contractor for the Erpe-Mere municipality will begin mowing the municipal roadside verges. In total, approximately 95 kilometers of verges will be maintained according to the verge management plan.

Due to the dry weather, mowing had not yet started this autumn. Over the next 3 to 4 weeks, all verges will be mowed to ensure everything is tidy for winter. The contractor will begin in Aaigem.
The contractor uses two verge mowers with different working widths. This may result in one part of a street being mowed while another part still needs attention. If you notice that not everything has been mowed at once, do not worry: those areas will be addressed later.
The grass is removed during mowing. This gives flowers and herbs more opportunities to grow, keeping our verges biodiverse and healthy.
The municipality requests that the mowing works be given the necessary time and space. The entire mowing process is expected to take about three weeks.
