In Brakel, a new group of Ferm was launched this summer, exclusively for and by women, aiming to welcome all women regardless of their background.

A core group of volunteers organizes accessible activities such as walks and bi-weekly creative and game cafes. The group emphasizes inclusivity and welcomes all women.
The first recurring concept is the bi-weekly creative cafe. Participants can bring their own creative projects, like drawing, crocheting, knitting, or puzzling. Those who prefer not to engage in creative activities can play board games or simply chat.
This activity was promoted via www.ikdoemee.be and Duizendpoot Brakel, the local branch of Welzijnsschakels. The participation fee is democratic: €1 for members and €3 for non-members, with a drink costing €0.50. The location, the parish hall in the center of Brakel, is easily accessible.
Walks are also occasionally on the program. Most activities are very affordable, often free, and open to all women in and around Brakel.
Interested individuals can follow the group on Facebook, the Ferm website, or join the Whatsapp community. For more information, contact Sofie De Neve.
