Europe is investing millions in circular innovation. Flemish companies, knowledge institutions, and governments will soon have the opportunity to contribute to international innovation projects and receive funding for them. Together with Vlaanderen Circulair, the province of Antwerp is becoming one of the 20 partners in this initiative, led by the region of Navarra.
The goal of ECIV is to bring circular solutions to market faster, stimulate new collaborations, and accelerate the circular transition in Europe. Participants are joining at a stage focused on experimentation, collaboration, and scaling up.
From the end of 2026, companies, knowledge institutions, governments, and societal organizations can join international innovation consortia within ECIV. This offers numerous opportunities, including European funding for circular innovation projects, collaboration with partners from other European regions, access to new markets and value chains, knowledge exchange with European frontrunners, and the ability to test, validate, and scale innovations more quickly.
Projects within ECIV will bring together partners from different regions around concrete challenges. These include innovative materials, circular value chains, industrial symbiosis, circular business models, or new forms of circular procurement.
