The city of Antwerp, through AG Vespa, is seeking organizations, entrepreneurs, or consortia to transform the former De Lijn bus depot at Tramplein in Zurenborg into a vibrant, inclusive, and green space for at least 10 years.

This summer, the former bus depot of De Lijn at Tramplein was temporarily used for the first time. The city opened the vacant site for meetings, cultural activities, and small-scale events, transforming it into a lively and safe place that creates added value for the neighborhood and the city. The city intends to continue this in the coming years while awaiting definitive repurposing and has launched an appeal for this.
To evaluate this summer's temporary use, the city is launching a neighborhood survey. Residents who visited the site or have ideas for its future use can fill out the survey online on the city's digital participation platform OOR until Friday, November 6. The results will be shared with potential candidates.
The call for the temporary use of the former bus depot in Zurenborg can be found on the AG Vespa website. Interested parties can apply. On Friday, November 20, at 10 AM, AG Vespa will organize a mandatory guided tour of the site for candidates.
