The GROS supports young people from Ravels, Weelde, and Poppel who wish to engage in development cooperation, with the possibility of financial grants for approved projects.

The GROS provides support to young people from Ravels, Weelde, and Poppel who want to commit to development cooperation. Many students have already participated and presented their projects, often in the context of foreign internships or training programs such as social work, teacher training, or nursing.
In recent years, projects have taken place in countries including South Africa, Gambia, Congo, Tanzania, and Peru. These experiences offer significant added value not only for the students themselves but also for the people and communities they collaborate with on site.
The GROS carefully evaluates each project, considering objectives, the collaborating organization, insurance, and contacts with local partners. Following a positive assessment, students can receive a financial grant for their international project.
Young people with plans for a development project are encouraged to present their project to the GROS to find out if they are eligible for a subsidy. Applications can be submitted via www.ravels.be/studentenprojecten-ontwikkelingssamenwerking.
