From October 17 to 31, the municipality of Mol is participating in the ‘Kringkampioen 2026’ competition. During this contest, Flemish municipalities compete to collect the most reusable items per inhabitant. Residents are encouraged to bring their items to Kringwinkel to help the municipality win. The winning municipality will receive 250 euros in Kringwinkel gift vouchers to be spent locally.
Do you have items at home that you no longer use but are still in good condition? Think of clothing, toys, books, or household items. Bring them to Kringwinkel during the competition. Large furniture and bicycles cannot be brought in by individuals. For large items that are difficult to transport, a free pickup can be arranged by calling 011 63 68 44 or emailing inzameling@debiehal.be.
The municipality that collects the most kilograms of reusable items per inhabitant wins the provincial title. The municipal council can decide how to use the won gift vouchers, for example, for a local initiative, a school, or furnishing a reception area. Every resident can make a difference by collecting reusable items and bringing them to Kringwinkel no later than October 31.
On Friday, November 6, it will be announced which municipality becomes the Kringkampioen of Antwerpen. Kringwinkel organizes the competition to celebrate 25 years of reuse and to give as many items as possible a second life.
More information about the competition can be found at www.kringwinkel.be/25-jaar/kringkampioen. For further details, contact De Biehal at 011 63 68 44 or inzameling@debiehal.be.
