The municipality of Mol continues to offer accessible cultural and leisure activities for persons with disabilities even after the 'Unlimited Month', with extra benefits through the European Disability Card (EDC card).

The European Disability Card (EDC card) provides persons with recognized disabilities with benefits at various organizations in Mol, including the Cultuurcentrum Mol, Jakob Smitsmuseum, Zilvermeer, Vita Den Uyt, and Sunparks Kempense Meren. The card is valid in Belgium and seven other European countries and may grant discounts or free admission for a companion.
The Cultuurcentrum Mol offers theater, music, films, and exhibitions year-round. With the EDC card, a companion can enter for free. Adapted seating for wheelchair users and less mobile individuals is available, along with hearing support. For more information, contact the cultural desk at 014 27 24 05 or cultuurbalie@gemeentemol.be. The program can be found at www.cultuurcentrum-mol.be.
The Jakob Smitsmuseum makes art accessible with free admission for one companion with the EDC card. The museum is largely wheelchair accessible, has a lift on each floor, and offers an audio guide. Reception staff have been trained for visitors with visual impairments. The current exhibition is titled ‘Gemaakt om geschilderd te worden’ (Made to be painted), and more information is available at www.jakobsmits.be.
There are also benefits for sports and recreation. The Provincial domain Zilvermeer offers free day access for the cardholder and a companion. Vita Den Uyt offers a discounted rate and one free companion. Sunparks Kempense Meren provides one free adult companion at Aquafun per EDC card. Visitors are encouraged to check the conditions beforehand and bring their EDC card.
Individuals with an official recognition as a person with a disability can apply for the EDC card via www.gemeentemol.be/european-disability-card. Assistance is available from the health insurance fund or the department for persons with disabilities.
