The municipality of Kasterlee invites nature lovers and poetry enthusiasts for a unique forest experience, featuring special walks and recited poems.

In Kasterlee, visitors can now explore the forest in a new way with the 'Spring into the forest with poems' activity. The starting point is located at Kabouterberg, Kabouterstraat 2.
Two marked walking routes are available: a short 1 km route that is wheelchair accessible via nodes 74-60-16-74, and a longer 3.4 km walk along the Hoge Mouw, marked with blue signs.
For those who prefer to walk in company, guided walks with village poets are offered. These take place on Sunday, October 18th at 7:30 AM and on Sunday, October 25th at 10 AM. Registration for these walks can be done via cultuur@kasterlee.be or by phone at 014 85 99 17.
Along the way, walkers can listen to poems by scanning a QR code with their smartphone. The audio files are also available for download on the municipality's website.
A preview of the poetry is offered with a poem by the three village poets: Tineke Lambreghts, Mieke Emmerig, and Jo Stoop. The poem emphasizes the peace and beauty of nature as an escape from life's pressures.
