For three days, residents of the Valaar district in Wilrijk could visit a temporary POP-UP neighborhood office by Woonhaven. This mobile office concept, intended for neighborhoods without a nearby tenant office, proved successful again with around 130 visitors.
During the opening hours, residents could speak directly with staff from various departments, including technical services, tenant administration, social services, and supervision and liveability, without an appointment. Questions about their homes, reports of technical issues, administrative inquiries, and concerns about the living environment could be discussed.
Woonhaven emphasizes that the POP-UP office serves as a place where residents are heard and considers them partners in liveability. An informal lunch was organized on Monday afternoon, allowing residents to share their ideas and suggestions directly with management.
The POP-UP, the lunch meeting, and the daily neighborhood work are based on the conviction that good service starts with listening to residents. To strengthen social cohesion, Woonhaven concluded the POP-UP with a neighborhood party, encouraging interaction among residents.
This initiative is part of a broader liveability policy and neighborhood action plans through which Woonhaven collaborates with residents and partners to build strong neighborhoods.
