Anyone planning to break up their garden paving and replace it with more greenery can use the Tile Taxi service. This service collects broken tiles and paving free of charge, with the municipality covering the collection costs.
To use the service, residents must book their Tile Taxi by Friday, October 9, via www.kempen2030.be/tegeltaxi. The taxi will come on Thursdays, October 29, November 19, or December 17. After registration, the pick-up date will be confirmed, and a maximum of two big bags will be provided.
Residents are responsible for removing the paving and collecting the tiles in the big bags. The bags should be placed in a safe location as close as possible to the road, without obstructing others. After replacing the tiles with plants, a photo of the removed paving and the new garden is requested.
The big bags can contain broken patio tiles, concrete tiles, pavers, cobblestones, natural stone, gravel, rubble, or the base layer of screed, cement, or rubble. Soil or other materials are not permitted.
