For two days, hundreds of reenactors will descend upon the grounds of the Castle of Gaasbeek and the adjacent Groenenberg domain. They will participate in jousting, archery, and sword fighting tournaments, and daily join in “the siege of Gaasbeek”. Participants will sleep, eat, and live in an extensive tent camp with inns and food markets, complemented by over 40 medieval merchants and dozens of animations and extras.
Beyond a visual total experience, Quondam aims to be interactive. Both young and old can actively participate in the craft village and the squire school.
TRAFFIC INFORMATION
Sint-Pieters-Leeuw Area
From Saturday morning, September 26, at 9 AM to Sunday evening, September 27, at 10 PM, the Appelboomstraat will be closed to all through car traffic from the roundabout at Frituur Vijfhoek towards Gaasbeek. Cyclists, pedestrians, and De Lijn buses are permitted. A free bicycle parking and a paid visitor parking for cars and motorcycles will be provided at Appelboomstraat, near Konijnestraat. Quondam is easily accessible by public transport; De Lijn has a stop at the entrance field.
Sint-Pieters-Leeuw Area

In the streets Gustaf Vandersteenstraat, Donkerstraat, Winkelstraat, and Gaasbeeksestraat, one-way traffic will be in effect from the center of Sint-Kwintens-Lennik towards Gaasbeek, and from Gaasbeek towards the Brusselsestraat (N282). On the Postweg (behind the Domain of the Castle of Gaasbeek) and the Oudenaaksestraat, one-way traffic will also apply towards Gaasbeek.

During the event, several cannon shots will be fired. On both days, around 9:00 AM, one cannon shot will be fired as a medieval 'wake-up call'. In the afternoon, the battle 'Siege of Gaasbeek' will take place, during which multiple cannon shots will be fired on both days, each time at a varying time between 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM, within a span of approximately 30 to 35 minutes.
