From November 1st, all residents of Roeselare can use Hoplr, the online neighborhood network that connects people from the same area. Following a positive experience in five neighborhoods, Roeselare City is opting for a city-wide rollout.

With Hoplr, residents of Roeselare can easily connect with their neighbors starting November 1st. The platform, which divides the city into 13 specific Hoplr neighborhoods, allows users to ask questions, borrow items, organize neighborhood activities, or simply stay informed about what's happening locally. Registration is free, ad-free, and privacy-safe via hoplr.com.
The expansion to all of Roeselare follows a successful pilot phase in five neighborhoods, which indicated a strong demand for such a platform. Roeselare City aims to strengthen social cohesion, viewing neighborhoods as places where people meet, help each other, and undertake activities together.
In addition to neighborly contact, Roeselare City will also share local information and activities via Hoplr. For specific reports or inquiries to the city, the central contact point 1788 (email, phone, or web form) remains the designated channel.

"A strong neighborhood starts with people who know and can find each other. As a City, we want to ensure that neighborhoods are places where people meet, help each other, and can do things together. With Hoplr, we give residents an extra way to do this."
