The internal campaign, starting today, has the ambition to achieve 100 donations. With approximately 720 employees, this is a challenge, but a donation takes only about an hour and helps someone in need of blood or plasma.
Alderman for Personnel and Organization Matthijs Samyn and General Director Geert Sintobin are setting a good example and urge their colleagues to participate. They emphasize that giving blood or plasma is a small effort with a big impact.
The campaign runs until May 31, 2027. Employees will be regularly updated on the donation progress throughout the year and encouraged to make appointments.
If colleagues collectively reach the goal of 100 donations, Roeselare City will treat all employees to an ice cream. However, the real reward is making a difference for others, and colleagues are hoped to inspire each other.
The campaign aligns with 'Onderneming met een groot hart', an initiative by the Belgian Red Cross. Besides Roeselare City, many other companies and organizations are participating. An overview can be found on the Red Cross website.
With this initiative, Roeselare City aims not only to reach 100 donations but also to attract new donors and encourage existing donors to return regularly.
