Around the All Saints' period, a number of additional arrangements apply to the cemeteries in Moorslede. From Wednesday, October 28, to Monday, November 2, it is not permitted to carry out work on graves, place or remove grave markers, or clean graves. This period is intended for rest and remembrance.
Floral arrangements and pots may remain on the graves until Sunday, November 29. Afterwards, they will be removed by cemetery staff to ensure the cemeteries remain tidy and accessible during the winter months.
Concession Renewals: Starting in October, information signs will be placed on graves whose concession or period of rest has expired or is about to expire. This offers relatives the opportunity to renew a concession or, if desired, to relinquish it. These signs will remain for one year. If no response is received within this period, the concession will be permanently terminated, in accordance with current regulations.
Removal of Grave Monuments: In the coming years, the municipality will gradually remove grave monuments from non-protected graves whose concession or period of rest has expired and was not renewed after the placement of the information signs. These works will be carried out with due respect for the deceased and their relatives.
