The weekly market in Moen has been nominated for the Matexi Award 2026, a national recognition for projects that make neighborhoods more livable and connect people.

Since September 3rd, a market has been held every Thursday afternoon at the Moenplaats. With a varied offer of fresh products, the market not only brings basic necessities closer to residents but also creates a new meeting place in the village. Out of 253 submitted projects, the expert jury of the Matexi Award selected 30 laureates, including the market in Moen.
The Matexi Award recognizes projects that make neighborhoods more livable and connect people. This is precisely what the market in Moen aims to achieve: strengthening the village center, supporting local trade, and bringing residents together. The enthusiastic turnout at the opening already proved that the market is a great success.
In addition to the jury prizes, a public award will also be presented. The winners will be announced on November 19, 2026. Everyone can still vote to help Moen win an award.
The market takes place every Thursday from 2 PM to 6 PM at the Moenplaats.
