Lichtervelde is further investing in a heart-safe municipality with the recent installation of 4 new AED devices, accessible day and night.

In the event of cardiac arrest, every second counts and rapid assistance can save lives. Therefore, Lichtervelde has further invested in becoming a heart-safe municipality. Recently, 4 new AED devices were installed, in addition to the 2 devices that were still operational. These are located outside in a secured cabinet and are accessible day and night. This ensures that quick action can always be taken in an emergency, even outside of building opening hours.
To help the Lichtervelde population learn how to use these devices correctly, a 'resuscitation and working with an AED' session has been organized in consultation with the Red Cross. Places are limited. Registration is possible via the form on the e-counter.
