From October 1st to 10th, AZ Zeno in Knokke-Heist and Blankenberge is organizing the 'Machtig Krachtig' initiative for the Ten Days of Mental Health.

From October 1st to 10th, AZ Zeno is highlighting Mental Health with the initiative Machtig Krachtig. This project combines the focus areas of the Ten Days of Mental Health, the Day of Palliative Care, the Week of Pain, and the Day of Meaning Care.
The concept of Machtig Krachtig centers on finding inner strength that helps people persevere. This strength can be discovered in personal interests, hobbies, nature, or the support of loved ones. The campaign also sheds light on the impact of invisible illnesses, chronic pain, or mental challenges that can significantly affect daily life.
Visitors to the Knokke-Heist and Blankenberge campuses can participate in activities until October 10th. In the entrance halls, a 'strength wall' allows visitors to write messages about who or what gives them strength, or to give these cards to someone who is a significant source of strength in their life. Inspiring strength mottos are displayed throughout the hospitals to encourage reflection.
On Thursday, October 8th, paramedics from the PAAZ (Psychiatric Department), the psychological service, the palliative support team, the meaning care service, and the pain team will be present at the strength wall. They will invite visitors to reflect on their personal sources of strength. On that day, visitors can also spin the 'strength machine' for a motivational message and a 'strength boost'.
Through Machtig Krachtig, AZ Zeno aims to inspire people to (re)discover their own sources of strength and emphasize what makes them 'Mighty Strong' during the Ten Days of Mental Health.
