BE-Alert is an alarm system designed to inform the public during emergencies. The mayor, governor, and minister can send out a message to a specific zone. It provides a rapid additional alert, even if you are not in the immediate vicinity.
Residents who are not yet registered can do so now via the BE-Alert website; the process takes only 5 minutes. Those already registered are encouraged to check their details and update them if necessary.
It is possible to specify multiple addresses for which you wish to receive alerts in case of an emergency, such as your children's school, your workplace, or your parents' address.
On Thursday, October 1, 2026, a national test day will be held. Subscribers will receive an email from the address no-reply@be-alert.be on that day.
