The festive edition of Boektopia opened today at Kortrijk Xpo, with a program this year extending to two cities for the first time: Kortrijk and Antwerp.

The book festival takes place from October 30 to November 4 in Kortrijk and from November 10 to November 15 in Antwerp. During the opening event, Kortrijk's Letter Weaver Myriem El-Kaddouri and Antwerp's city poet Esohe Weyden jointly presented a Boektopia poem as a bridge between the two festival cities. Ish Ait Hamou and six other writers also paid tribute to the reader.
Visitors can immerse themselves in books, stories, and encounters over the coming days, with performances, workshops, signing sessions, live podcast recordings, and activities for young and old. From today, Boektopia will also welcome its first school classes.
Literatuur Vlaanderen supports Boektopia, contributing to a book celebration that brings readers and literature together.
Boektopia takes place from October 30 to November 4 at Kortrijk Xpo and is open daily from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
