The Sports Department of Deerlijk is organizing after-school Multimove for pupils in the 2nd and 3rd kindergarten, a playful way to develop motor skills and have fun.

In Deerlijk, an attractive alternative to traditional after-school care is being offered: after-school Multimove. This activity, organized by the Sports Department, allows children to experience movement in a varied and playful way. The focus is on the 12 fundamental motor skills, such as climbing, jumping, catching, throwing, running, and balancing. This project serves as ideal preparation for any sport, without the pressure of competition, emphasizing playing together, moving, and having lots of fun.
Multimove contributes to building a healthy lifestyle, encourages sufficient physical activity, and boosts children's self-confidence. Parents benefit from a convenient option where their children engage in sports under professional guidance instead of attending regular daycare. The program is varied and accessible, featuring a wide range of movement forms and creative materials, and guarantees 100% fun without winners or losers.
The project currently targets pupils from the 2nd and 3rd kindergarten at the schools de Berk and de Driesprong, with plans to expand to other schools in Deerlijk later. For pupils from de Berk, the sessions take place on Mondays, from November 9th to December 14th, each from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM in the de Berk gymnasium at Hoogstraat 41. Childcare is available from 4:00 PM.
For pupils from de Driesprong, the sessions are held on Tuesdays, from November 10th to December 15th, also from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM in the sports hall at Vercruysse de Solartstraat 30. Children will be picked up from school by the sports department. Childcare here is available from 3:30 PM.
The cost for 6 lessons is 24 euros, with a reduced rate of 4.80 euros. Registration can be done online starting from Monday, September 28th at 9:00 AM via the website or at the Vrijetijdspunt (Leisure Point) at Hoogstraat 122 (contact: vrijetijd@deerlijk.be or 056 71 89 81).
