The operation, focused on tackling undermining phenomena, social fraud, and unfair labor practices, involved the inspection of 69 individuals. The Blankenberge-Zuienkerke Police Zone collaborated closely with the National Employment Office (RVA), the Federal Public Service Employment, Labour and Social Dialogue (FOD WASO), and the Immigration Office (Dienst Vreemdelingenzaken).
One or more violations were identified on each construction site inspected. These included undeclared work, illegal employment, and other breaches of social legislation.
The local government of Blankenberge emphasizes that such practices disadvantage employees, create unfair competition, and undermine entrepreneurs who comply with the rules. Therefore, the city will continue to pursue a firm and consistent approach in collaboration with specialized services.
This control action is part of an integrated approach where police and inspection services combine their expertise. The Blankenberge-Zuienkerke Police Zone will continue to use administrative enforcement to strengthen liveability, safety, and integrity within the police zone.
