Users of the 't Solveld sports hall in Tielt-Winge are reminded that the entire sports domain, including the padel courts and football field, is smoke and vape-free. This measure aims to keep the sports environment pleasant, safe, and healthy for everyone.
In recent times, cigarette butts have frequently been found near the sports hall entrance, contributing to litter and creating a less tidy impression. Therefore, everyone is kindly requested to smoke or vape outside the domain and to dispose of cigarette butts correctly in the bin located at the grass field across from the sports hall. Discarding butts in public spaces may result in a fine.
A smoke-free environment is important, especially for children and young people, whom we aim to encourage towards a healthy and active lifestyle. No one enjoys walking through cigarette smoke when entering or leaving the sports hall.
During the Week of Enforcement, from October 5 to 11, 2026, extra attention will be given to the smoke and vape-free nature of Solveld. The message will be spread via social media and local sports clubs. The police will also increase surveillance to ensure compliance with the rules.
