The municipality of Tervuren has selected Ilse Mulder-Henke and her son Joep, current operators of the hospitality business Het Geheim in Sterrebeek, as the new operators for the cafeteria at the De Steenberg sports complex.

Following a selection process, the duo was chosen to run the hospitality business. Some adaptation works are still needed at the complex before the launch, with the opening scheduled for early January 2027. With their experience from Het Geheim, Ilse aims to make De Steenberg a pleasant meeting place for athletes, associations, parents, and local residents, focusing on hospitality, connection, and community life.
In addition to an accessible menu, she also wants to create space for activities that will bring more life to De Steenberg, both during and outside of sports events. The municipality, Ilse, and Joep will collaborate in the coming months to determine the necessary adjustments for a smooth start. This ensures the cafeteria's opening is expected in early January 2027.
By appointing Ilse Mulder-Henke, the municipality secures the future operation of the cafeteria and daily supervision of the sports complex, representing an investment in the future of De Steenberg.
