The local service center In Kompanie, already active in Itterbeek and Groot-Bijgaarden, is taking a new step in its service provision by opening a branch in Schepdaal starting October 2026. This expansion aims to reach residents more effectively and create additional opportunities for meeting, support, and activities in the sub-municipality.
The service center describes itself as a warm meeting place for everyone, with a special focus on Dilbeek's residents aged 65 and over. The new location in Schepdaal aims to be an accessible point for a chat, a cup of coffee, a good book, or a board game. It will also serve as a contact point for questions, ideas, and neighborhood initiatives.
From October 7, 2026, In Kompanie will be present every Wednesday from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Schepdaal library, located at Eylenboschstraat 27. In addition to informal gatherings, activities and workshops will be organized, such as cycling tours, creative workshops, and sessions on using smartphones and digital applications.
The operation in Schepdaal also encourages the participation of residents and volunteers. Those with ideas for activities, talents to share, or who wish to volunteer can contact the service center.
Although the branch officially starts on October 7, a festive opening event will take place on Wednesday, January 20, 2027, at 2 PM. Residents are invited for a New Year's drink and an official introduction to the new operation.
