The municipality of Overijse is redesigning the ground floor of AC De Vuurmolen to assist residents more quickly with two fixed contact points: a central reception and a welfare desk.

The ground floor in AC De Vuurmolen is getting a new layout. To help residents faster and reduce referrals, the municipality will work with two fixed contact points: the central reception and the welfare desk.
The central reception will handle general inquiries for all services. A fast-track counter will be available for quick transactions. At the welfare desk, inquiries regarding social services, the Huis van het Kind Overijse, caregiver support, and meals at home can be addressed.
In the future, partner organizations such as Familiehulp, Lig, and 1Gezin1Plan may be housed in the new ‘Welzijnshuis’ (Welfare House) at AC De Vuurmolen. The ground floor will be designed for easy navigation to one of the two contact points. Additionally, meeting rooms will be available for private consultations with municipal employees or partners.
The Citizen Services counters will be retained and consolidated into a single space. The target opening date for the new reception and Welfare House is mid-January 2027. During the renovation, the counters will remain open, though they may temporarily relocate within the ground floor.
