The municipality of Kortenberg offers residents the opportunity to request a thermal scan of their home to detect heat loss.

Using an infrared device, experts can identify areas where a home is losing heat. Residents pay a personal contribution of 50 euros for the execution of the scan, which applies only to houses and not to apartments. The municipality covers the remaining costs.
After registration, the Energiehuis IGO will contact you to schedule a home visit. The scanner will visit to map the home's heat loss for an hour. The scan can only be performed in winter during dry and cold weather, when the temperature difference between indoors and outdoors is sufficiently large.
After the home visit and payment of the contribution, participants will receive a detailed report with an analysis of the infrared images and concrete advice on making their home more energy-efficient. However, the number of available scans is limited, so early registration is recommended.
