From October 10 to 18, the Week of Dutch takes place, with the language ambassador Babbel visiting language opportunities in Hoeilaart to promote the use of the Dutch language.

From October 10 to 18, the annual Week of Dutch is taking place, an initiative by the Taalunie and the Flemish-Dutch House deBuren. This campaign aims to make Dutch visible and stimulate its use in a positive and connecting way.
Thanks to Vzw de Rand, our mascot ‘Babbel, the language ambassador’ also visited various language opportunities in Hoeilaart. Language opportunities are places and moments where people can learn, practice, and/or use Dutch.
In the coming days, one can continue to follow Babbel's adventures in Hoeilaart. With this, the local government positively highlights Dutch as a connecting language. After all, together we make it a visible and connecting story.
The administration therefore gladly calls on everyone to offer opportunities for non-native speakers learning Dutch to continue practicing. You too can help them with this!
