The municipality of Haacht is expanding its after-school care program, Hop-la!, this school year to include holiday care, with IGO becoming the permanent care partner. The central holiday care will take place in the gatehouse of the Wakkerzeel presbytery.

With the expansion to holiday care, IGO becomes the permanent partner for the entire after-school care operation. IGO has been responsible for pre- and post-school care in Haacht for many years. The choice for one permanent partner aims to ensure smoother communication, better coordination, and more continuity for parents, children, and staff. During school holidays, children are welcome in the gatehouse of the Wakkerzeel presbytery, where Hop-la!'s central holiday care takes place.
Within Haacht's BOA vision, the well-being and development of each child are paramount, with Dutch as the connecting language. Children are naturally and playfully introduced to Dutch. Haacht and IGO offer a varied range of activities, including rotating theme boxes on topics such as circus, space, gymnastics, and puppetry, to stimulate children and develop their talents.
This renewed care is the result of a strong collaboration between the municipality of Haacht and IGO. The municipality intends to further strengthen this collaboration in the coming years and involve local associations more in the activity program. With BOA, the aim is not only to organize care but also to create an environment where children feel at home and have opportunities to develop.
