On the advice of the Flemish Environment Agency (VMM) and the provincial Watercourses service, the temporary ban, in effect since July 15, 2026, is being lifted for the catchment area of the Dijle (upstream of its confluence with the Demer) and the catchment area of the Winge.
For the remaining catchment areas in Flemish Brabant, the temporary withdrawal ban will remain in force for the time being. Despite recent rainfall, water levels and flows there are still too low to lift the measure.
