The digital newsletter 'Écht Vlaams-Brabant' from the province has now gathered over 11,000 subscribers, demonstrating residents' connection to their province. Starting October 19th, residents will also receive the autumn magazine.

Just over a year ago, the provincial government of Vlaams-Brabant launched the digital newsletter 'Écht Vlaams-Brabant'. The initiative, aimed at informing and exciting residents about what makes the province unique, has attracted over 11,000 subscribers. This success confirms the choice for a reliable, in-house communication channel, independent of advertising-driven platforms that often handle privacy too loosely.
Ann Schevenels, deputy, emphasizes the importance of both digital and analog communication to best reach citizens. In addition to the monthly digital newsletter, a magazine is distributed door-to-door twice a year. The autumn magazine will be delivered to over 400,000 mailboxes in the province starting October 19th.
The autumn magazine features various articles, including a cover story with actor and collector Mathias Vergels. There is also coverage of the province's water management efforts, a special on the winter linden tree of Horst as a symbol for nature projects, and a report on the cycle highway by directors Joris and Nele. Small initiatives such as Dorpshuis Mardijk, the restoration of the Abbey of Park, a farmer combining draft horses with innovation, and a portrait about learning Dutch at the Kringwinkel (second-hand shop) are also included. Short news items about, among others, the 'stairway to heaven' and walking Sundays complete the magazine.

"The newsletter growing to over 11,000 subscribers confirms our choice for sustainable communication. And more importantly, it shows that the people of Vlaams-Brabant are proud of their province!"
