Nieuwe Marktbus maakt donderdagmarkt Begijnendijk toegankelijker

Gemeente Begijnendijk

The local administration of Begijnendijk has launched a new service to make the weekly Thursday market at Kerkplein even more accessible. Visitors can now use the free Marktbus, which commutes between Betekom, the market, and the Begijnendijk train station.

With this new service, the local administration aims to bring residents to the market in a comfortable and sustainable way. The market bus offers a convenient solution, especially for people with reduced mobility or those who prefer not to drive.
The Marktbus operates multiple routes on Thursdays between 9:00 AM and 12:30 PM. The bus departs from sportcentrum De Tumkens in Betekom, stops at the Thursday market on Kerkplein, and then proceeds to the bus stop at Begijnendijk train station. Afterwards, the bus returns via the market to Betekom.
More detailed information about the stops and schedule is available on the local administration's website.
