The municipality of Zele expresses its gratitude to all volunteers for their dedication and commitment during the Year of the Volunteer. Simultaneously, the municipality is issuing an appeal for extra helping hands. Volunteering can involve just a few hours a month and makes a significant difference.
Volunteers are sought for various tasks: at LDC De Welle for visitor transport and setting up rooms; at Woonzorgcentrum De Oever for assistance with evening meals, accompanying residents on walks or market visits, and baking pancakes or waffles; and for Zeelse events to help out.
Interested individuals can fill out the online form or contact them at 052 45 98 10 or vrijwilligers@zele.be. Besides the municipal government, many associations and schools are also looking for volunteers, for example, for tutoring via Uilenspel, assisting sports clubs, or reading in classrooms.
