The municipality of Temse commenced the first phase of roadworks on Huis ten Halven on Wednesday, October 14th. The contractor is currently removing the top asphalt layer and existing street drains.

The works are proceeding according to schedule. The contractor has started milling the asphalt layer, revealing the underlying cobblestones. Additionally, street drains are being removed in preparation for the next steps of the project.
On Thursday, October 22nd, the contractor will begin installing the ditches. These will be poured on-site rather than prefabricated, ensuring they are more easily passable at the start of phase two of the works. The dimensions of the ditches will remain unchanged.
The contractor expects to complete phase one by the end of October, with a small margin provided until November 3rd. The works on Huis ten Halven, between Afschrijverslaan and Ruisstraat, include renewing the road surface and replacing street drains.
