On Tuesday, October 20th, the municipalities of Berlare, Hamme, and Zele, along with VDAB, are organizing the second regional job fair at the Festivalhal near Donkmeer in Berlare. Approximately 30 employers from various sectors will present their vacancies, allowing job seekers direct interaction.

The job fair provides employers in the Berlare, Hamme, and Zele region the opportunity to speak with numerous job seekers looking for new challenges close to home. There is demand for roles such as foremen, driving instructors, nurses, home helpers, and tower crane operators.
Between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, the Festivalhal doors will be open to anyone seeking a professional challenge in the region, including school leavers, the unemployed, and those considering a career change. The fair offers a chance for initial conversations with potential employers.
At the VDAB cleaning mobile unit, interested individuals can learn about training programs and job opportunities within the cleaning sector. Visitors can also visit the VDAB stand for questions regarding other regional training, career reorientation, and job applications.
“

"With this job fair, we bring job seekers and employers together in an accessible, physical way for a sustainable match. Sometimes an extra step is needed to build the right skills. That's why we offer extensive information on regional training and work-based learning opportunities on-site, so both applicants and employers can move forward effectively."

Carine D’haeseleer · Provincial Director VDAB East Flanders

"Our region has many strong companies constantly seeking motivated employees. At the same time, there are people looking for new challenges, sometimes without even knowing the opportunities right at their doorstep. With this job fair, we bring both parties into direct contact. Because strengthening the local economy means not only supporting our entrepreneurs but also giving people opportunities to work close to home."

Geert D’hooghe · Alderman for Work and Local Economy of Zele
At 12:45 PM, the official opening ceremony will take place, featuring speeches by Alderman Gunther Cooreman (Berlare) and Provincial Director Carine D’haeseleer (VDAB East Flanders). Press are welcome.
