From October 12 to 18, the Week of Childcare is dedicated to ‘The Magic of Childcare’. This week highlights the special role childcare workers fulfill every day. With their care, patience, and enthusiasm, they help children play, learn, and grow. To thank the childcare workers of Hamont-Achel, the city council invited them on Sunday, October 11, for a magical show at Cinema Walburg, followed by a lunch at the Huis van het Kind (House of the Child).
No fewer than 43 childcare workers and managers from childcare initiatives for children aged 0 to 3 and after-school care were welcomed on Sunday, October 11, at Cinema Walburg. The mayor addressed them, after which TIM Theater / Inspinazie presented a magical interactive improvisation show, focusing on the daily tasks, beautiful moments, and minor frustrations of a childcare worker. Afterwards, attendees were invited to the Huis van het Kind for a pleasant sandwich lunch with delicious desserts. Upon departure, they also received a nice goodie bag to take home as an extra thank you for their daily commitment.
During the Week of Childcare, the public can also express their appreciation. Childcare workers dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to our children every day and deserve to hear how much their work means.
