Through the wish tree campaign, the local administration aims to bring a warm Christmas to children from vulnerable families. The social services department has contacted the participating families, who then submitted a wish for their child.
Anyone wishing to make a child happy can pick a wish from the tree and purchase the requested gift, with a maximum budget of €25.00 per child. The wrapped gift, with the wish card attached, must be returned under the wish tree by December 2nd. All wishes and donors remain completely anonymous. Staff from the local administration will ensure each gift reaches the correct child.
Monetary donations are also welcome. Contributions can be made to account number BE69 0910 2302 3078, with the reference ‘vrije gift wensboom’.
The wish trees are located at: Vrijetijdspunt Rodeheide, Rodeheide 3 and Vrijetijdspunt Dorpsstraat, Dorpsstraat 17.
