Today, a memorial stone was unveiled at the peace tree on the playground in Jagersborg. The ceremony was attended by students from Sint-Jan and Kubik.
From September 19 to 26, the UN's International Peace Week is celebrated worldwide. The Municipal Council for Development Cooperation highlights the many ongoing armed conflicts during this week, such as those in Ukraine, Gaza, Yemen, Iran, and Sudan.
The peace tree was planted in 2025 in Jagersborg. With the unveiling of the memorial stone, the aim is to further develop this location into a lasting reminder of the importance of peace.
