The scheme, running from November to March, offers financial support for recharging the prepaid meter. This aims to ensure homes can remain heated during the winter months.
To apply for this minimal supply, an appointment must be made with the social services department. A social worker will assess the application to determine if the applicant meets the conditions and what support can be provided for better energy management.
The conditions for this scheme include: Fluvius must be the supplier, and payment must be made via Prepaid (digital meter with prepayment). Additionally, the home must be heated by natural gas or a hybrid heat pump, and the home must be insufficiently heated during the winter period.
Those making an appointment should bring their identity card, bank details, Fluvius customer number or EAN number, and an overview of previous top-ups.
