Do you have about 2 hours per week to spare? Then you can make a difference in someone else's life. Become a buddy for a family facing financial hardship.
Many people living in poverty or in vulnerable situations face challenges alone. They lack someone to help them with their administration or budget, making it even harder to escape debt or avoid falling back into it.
That's why BIZ (BudgetInzicht) Limburg deploys buddies. Together with a social assistant from the OCMW or CAW, you will temporarily visit families. You will help them gain an overview, make choices, and – most importantly – offer them time and genuine attention.
What we expect from you:
- Approximately 2 hours per week of your time
- Communication and administrative skills
- Empathy, patience, and discretion
- Willingness to follow initial training and further education
- Commitment of at least 2 years
