The cemetery, normally kept out of public view, has been thoroughly restored. Damaged gravestones have been repaired or replaced, along with sections of the wall and the entrance gate. The gravestones have intentionally not been re-erected, and the landscaping retains its mysterious character out of respect for its historical significance. A focal point is the restored historic crucifix, present since the cemetery's inception.
Students from the Atlas College contributed to preserving this heritage by creating 25 new nameplates with names and dates, and 57 plates with numbers and 'RIP'. This project, 'Jong redt Oud' (Young Saves Old), received support from the Province of Limburg. The restoration of the crucifix also benefited from provincial funding.
The cemetery on Kneippstraat is private property and rarely opened. From 2027 onwards, the domain will be accessible four times a year.
