From Tuesday, October 6th to Friday, October 16th, Wommelgem is hosting Digital Week, themed ‘The evolution of the digital world’. The municipality offers free lessons on safe internet use and explanations about new printers and the library's e-book offerings.

During Digital Week, residents can attend free lessons on safe internet use. The sessions focus on recognizing phishing and other forms of online fraud, secure online payments, and identifying suspicious messages. The lessons are guided by Digihelpers in small groups.
An additional lesson is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6th, from 7 PM to 9 PM, for which registration is still open. The lesson on Thursday, October 8th, from 7 PM to 9 PM, is already fully booked. Both take place at the library, Welkomstraat 32. Registration for the October 6th lesson is required via wommelgem.be/wommelgem-digitaal. Places are limited.
Additionally, visitors can explore the new printers and the library's updated e-book collection. Library staff will provide guidance on borrowing and reading e-books via the Cantook app. A valid library membership and an active Mijn Bibliotheek-account are required.
The library's opening hours are: Monday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Thursday from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, and Friday and Saturday from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The library is closed on Sundays.
