On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Malle is organizing a series of ceremonies to commemorate Armistice Day, paying tribute to the victims of World War I and all those who have fallen.

Every year on November 11th, Armistice Day is commemorated to honor the heroes of World War I and to remember the global suffering of that era. Simultaneously, everyone who has died is remembered. Citizens are encouraged to fly a flag or attend the commemoration.
The program begins at 8:50 AM with a departure by municipal bus from the monument for fallen soldiers in Oostmalle to the monument on the village square in Westmalle. At 9:00 AM, a brief tribute will be held, followed by the bus's departure to the Sint-Laurentius Church in Oostmalle.
At 9:30 AM, a Eucharist and commemoration service will take place, followed by the solemn ‘Te Deum’ on the occasion of King's Day on November 15th. At 10:30 AM, there will be a moment of silence at the monument in Oostmalle, with a flyover of several vintage aircraft as a tribute, offered by flying club APCK. Following the floral tribute and prayer, the official national anthems will be played.
Following the ceremonies, a reception will be held in the foyer of De Notelaar.
