Within the Mobiliteitskamer Lille-Kasterlee project, efforts are underway to create a safer and more pleasant traffic environment. This involves examining the accessibility of key locations such as sports complexes, youth facilities, tourist attractions, and agricultural businesses. Following an initial phase of gathering experiences and identifying bottlenecks, the next step is to develop possible solutions.
During this discussion, which will last approximately two hours, potential traffic measures will be debated with individuals who regularly frequent the area. Examples include the possible introduction of one-way traffic, altered traffic circulation, or other interventions. The group will collectively assess the impact of these measures on the accessibility of locations like Poeyelheide sports complex and others.
The input from young people and youth associations is crucial. How do specific traffic measures affect the accessibility of youth activities, sports infrastructure, and clubhouses? Representatives from youth associations and the youth council are particularly welcome.
Interested individuals wishing to contribute ideas can contact the youth services department. The organizers will then provide further information.
More information about the project can be found on the municipality's website.
