The municipal building of Kalmthout has launched a new initiative to stimulate reading pleasure among children. Wooden containers filled with children's books are now available in the waiting area. This allows visitors to make their children's waiting time more enjoyable and simultaneously spark their interest in reading.
Parents who wish to encourage their children to read more can also visit Bib Kalmthout. This library offers an extensive free selection of children's and youth books for all ages and reading levels.
The reception of the municipal building, which is separate from the population, civil registry, or alien services, assists visitors with their appointments and schedules them. Staff also handle the telephone reception for the municipality of Kalmthout.
The reception is available by phone on Tuesday afternoons from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM and on Friday afternoons from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
