AP Hogeschool Antwerp's campaign ‘Show What You’ve Got’ has been honored with a bronze Effie Award. The award was received in the Brand Image category, among major names like Brussels Airlines and Colruyt. The campaign deliberately places students at its core, rather than focusing on courses or diplomas, a conscious choice consistently applied in all communication over recent years.
This focus on students and their personal stories has led to a doubling of the student population since 2018. According to Ariane Van Houdt, Head of Marketing and Communication at AP Hogeschool, these awards are about proven results and impact. 'These are the awards every marketer wants to win because they truly revolve around proven results and impact, not just the prettiest pitch or the biggest budget,' Van Houdt stated.
Van Houdt emphasized that a strong brand is more than just a good campaign or large budgets; it's about an organization clearly knowing its values and translating them to the people who choose it. 'At AP, that's primarily our students. The fact that this choice also translates into demonstrable results, with our student numbers doubling since 2018, makes this recognition particularly valuable,' she added.
The Effie Awards recognize the effectiveness of marketing and communication campaigns, evaluating both the creative idea and the campaign's results and impact. The awarded campaign was developed in collaboration with communication agency iO.
