The roads in the new residential area Twee Hofsteden, located between Ieperstraat, Rysseveldstraat, and Kleine Veldstraat in Staden, have been completed. WVI is now starting the sale of 45 building plots. Eventually, the neighborhood will accommodate a total of 154 homes, designed for various housing types suitable for all ages.
Twee Hofsteden aims to be more than just a place to live; a park of approximately four hectares is also being developed. This park will offer space for walking, relaxation, and community gatherings. The existing natural environment and the Paardebeek stream will play a significant role in the park, creating a green setting for all residents of Staden to enjoy.
Significant attention has been paid to rainwater management during the neighborhood's development. Paths will feature permeable paving to allow rainwater to better infiltrate the ground. Additionally, a large water buffer will be created to temporarily store excess rainwater during heavy rainfall, helping to mitigate waterlogging.
Vehicular access to the neighborhood will be via Ieperstraat. A portion of the walking and cycling paths connecting the neighborhood to the town center and surrounding areas has already been constructed. Thus, Twee Hofsteden is set to become a new residential area emphasizing green spaces, water management, and safe transportation.
Further details about the project and the available building plots, including sales conditions and prices, can be found on the WVI website.
