During the 'Weekend van de Klant' (Customer Weekend), on Saturday, October 3, 2026, Me & Mommy in Lauwe is hosting a 'Retail Rave'. Between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, the shop will become a mini-party featuring a DJ, beats, new outfits, free matcha, and surprises for customers.
This event is part of a broader provincial initiative where over 30 businesses in West-Vlaanderen are opening their doors for their own 'Retail Rave'. The initiative is a collaboration between UNIZO West-Vlaanderen, the Province of West-Vlaanderen, POM West-Vlaanderen, and KERNpunt.
Participating businesses, ranging from fashion stores and bakeries to flower shops and specialty stores, are each creating their own unique way to surprise customers. The cities and municipalities are financially supporting local participants with an amount of 500 euros per store.
Mieke Syssauw, Alderman for Entrepreneurship of the City of Menen, emphasizes the importance of local initiatives: “With the Retail Rave, we want to show that local shopping can be much more than just making a purchase. It becomes a moment where people come together, enjoy music and atmosphere, and discover our local retailers at the same time. Initiatives like Me & Mommy's add extra dynamism to shopping and ensure that shopping also becomes an experience. We thank Me & Mommy for participating and are happy to support them.”
The 'Retail Rave' at Me & Mommy in Lauwe is made possible with the support of the City of Menen, UNIZO West-Vlaanderen, KERNpunt, and POM West-Vlaanderen.
